Dick Armey

Richard Keith Armey, aka Dick Armey, was the U.S. Representative for Texas’ 26th Congressional District from 1985-2003, and was the House Majority Leader from 1995-2003. Along with Newt Gingrich, he was a co-author of the Contract with America, a document released by the Republican Party during the 1994 mid-term election in which the Republican Party promised that their candidates would enact eight reforms if the they acquired a control of the U.S. Congress.

Known for his catchphrase, “Freedom works. Freedom is good policy and good politics,” after which the conservative political group Freedom Works was named, this Dick exercised his freedom of speech when he called democratic congressmen Barney Frank, who was openly homosexual, “Barney Fag”. Armey claimed it was a slip of the tongue. We claim it demonstrated that this Dick was a one dick army.
